Brightside Legacy was founded by Shivek Gupta, an experienced entrepreneur with a deep passion for building and growing businesses. Shivek’s journey began with a textile manufacturing company in India, which he grew from scratch to a $25 million enterprise—a labor of love filled with challenges and triumphs.

Shivek's hands-on experience in running a business is a cornerstone of his approach. He has faced and overcome real-world challenges, from navigating supply chain disruptions and market unpredictability to leading a team through the COVID-19 crisis. His journey is a testament to resilience, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to growth and excellence. Shivek’s passion for building businesses is deeply rooted in his identity as an operator and entrepreneur.
Inspiration from Family: The Roots of Entrepreneurship
Growing up in a joint family in India, Shivek was inspired by his father and grandfather, who started and grew their business with dedication and hard work. This early exposure to entrepreneurship instilled in him a deep passion for building and growing businesses. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, Shivek successfully started and ran a textile manufacturing company.
Expanding Horizons: A Global Perspective
Seeking to further his education and explore greater entrepreneurial opportunities, Shivek moved to the United States in search of a better life, bigger opportunities, and to live the American dream. He pursued an MBA at the Kellogg School of Management, where he discovered the potential of acquiring and growing established businesses, which quickly became a path to continue the entrepreneurial journey he had started in India.
